Técnico(a) de Produção
BA Global Talent is seeking an On-Site Técnico(a) de Produção for a pharmaceutical glass and packaging manufacturer expanding its operations in Atibaia, São Paulo, Brazil.
The Production Technician will oversee the daily operations of an assigned production unit, ensuring safety requirements are followed, production targets are met, and equipment operates properly. This role will also supervise a team of three Operators, provide technical guidance, and coordinate with management to address production issues.
The position reports directly to the Factory General Manager. English will be used as a working language when communicating with international leadership and reviewing technical documentation. Following onboarding, the selected professional will travel to China for approximately one month of company-sponsored training conducted in English.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the assigned production unit.
Implement production plans and monitor progress against established targets.
Supervise and provide day-to-day guidance to a team of three Operators.
Ensure compliance with production safety procedures and workplace standards.
Conduct basic on-site safety, organization, and production-layout inspections.
Identify production abnormalities, take initial corrective action, and report issues to management.
Ensure the proper operation, inspection, and routine maintenance of production equipment.
Support equipment troubleshooting and coordinate more complex issues with engineers or maintenance teams.
Implement Lean Manufacturing Initiative and Total Productive Maintenance activities.
Provide technical and operational training to production-unit employees.
Complete production records, reports, and other required documentation.
Read and follow basic technical drawings, labels, work instructions, and SOPs.
Complete additional production-related assignments requested by management.
Qualifications:
Upper Intermediate (B2) English proficiency required. You should confidently communicate with international colleagues, participate in meetings, understand engineering documents, write clear emails and reports, and deliver technical presentations.
Associate degree, technical degree, or higher in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials, Glass Technology, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field.
Familiarity with production equipment, manufacturing processes, or industrial operations.
Ability to coordinate daily activities, guide team members, and address routine production issues.
Ability to operate safely in environments involving high temperatures, gas systems, machinery, and industrial equipment.
Basic computer skills and the ability to complete production reports.
Ability to read simple technical drawings, equipment labels, instructions, and SOPs.
Strong safety awareness, reliability, and willingness to follow established procedures.
Ability to learn technical processes quickly and receive guidance from engineers and senior employees.
Availability to travel to China for a 1-month training (company-sponsored).
Nice to have:
Experience in pharmaceutical packaging, glass manufacturing, medical devices, sterile production, automated manufacturing, or another related industry.
Direct experience with pharmaceutical vials, ampoules, cartridges, or glass production.
Experience supervising or training production Operators.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, LMI, TPM, or preventive-maintenance programs.
Knowledge of GMP, ISO 15378, ANVISA requirements, or regulated manufacturing environments.
CREA registration or another applicable technical certification.
Mandarin language skills.
