Engenheiro(a) de Processos Industriais
BA Global Talent is seeking an On-Site 'Engenheiro(a) de Processos Industriais' (Process Engineer) for a leading pharmaceutical glass and packaging manufacturer expanding its operations in Atibaia, São Paulo, Brazil.
The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining manufacturing processes, technical documentation, product drawings, packaging standards, process controls, and validation activities. This professional will also support equipment commissioning, process troubleshooting, continuous improvement, quality-system compliance, and the introduction or modification of vial packaging specifications.
This position reports directly to the Factory General Manager and will initially operate as an individual contributor. As production expands, the role may eventually lead a small team of one or two employees. English will be a working language, as the selected professional will communicate with the General Manager and international teams in English.
Following onboarding, the employee will travel to China for approximately one month of company-sponsored training. Training, internal communications, SOPs, and equipment documentation will be provided in English.
Responsibilities:
Develop process specifications, SOPs, technical instructions, product drawings, and Bills of Materials.
Provide technical guidance to production teams and conduct routine process inspections.
Investigate process incidents, manufacturing defects, and operational issues.
Recommend and verify corrective actions to improve process stability, efficiency, and product quality.
Support equipment commissioning, process validation, change control, and production adjustments.
Develop and maintain packaging specifications and standards for vials and related products.
Review customer packaging requirements and coordinate changes with internal teams and suppliers.
Support clean-area controls, hygiene requirements, and cross-contamination prevention.
Provide ISO 15378 and process-related training to employees.
Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, suppliers, and other functional departments.
Qualifications:
Upper Intermediate (B2) English proficiency required. You should confidently communicate with international colleagues, participate in meetings, understand engineering documents, write clear emails and reports, and deliver technical presentations.
Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Chemical, Mechanical, Production, Thermal, or another related Engineering discipline.
At least 2 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or production-process management.
Experience in pharmaceutical packaging, medical devices, glass manufacturing, sterile production, automated manufacturing, or a related industry.
Availability to travel to China for 1-month training (company-sponsored).
Knowledge of process troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, validation, and change control.
Experience preparing SOPs, technical standards, drawings, packaging specifications, or BOMs.
Familiarity with GMP, ANVISA, ISO standards, and regulated manufacturing environments.
Nice to have:
Experience with pharmaceutical vials, ampoules, cartridges, glass tubing, or primary packaging.
Knowledge of annealing, cleaning, forming, packaging, or performance-validation processes.
Familiarity with ISO 15378 or YBB pharmaceutical-glass standards.
Previous experience with Ompi do Brasil, SCHOTT do Brasil Ltda., BBP Energy, or a similar manufacturer.
CREA registration or another applicable professional certification.
Mandarin language skills.
