Senior Tax Accountant - Public Accounting (Hamilton, OH)
BA Global Talent is seeking a hybrid Senior Tax Accountant to join a CPA firm based in Hamilton, OH. In this role, you will prepare and review tax returns, support client relationships, and contribute to tax planning and advisory services across a diverse client portfolio. You'll work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment with excellent opportunities for career growth, leadership development, and employee ownership.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review business and individual tax returns.
Support tax compliance for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and other pass-through entities.
Assist with tax planning initiatives and client advisory projects.
Lead tax engagements across a variety of industries while ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, professional communication.
Research complex tax issues and identify planning opportunities for clients.
Mentor and provide guidance to Staff Accountants.
Collaborate closely with managers, directors, and firm leadership on client engagements and strategic initiatives.
Contribute to the firm's long-term success as an employee-owner.
Partner with clients to support their tax compliance needs while helping identify opportunities for improved tax strategies and financial decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
2–4 years of public accounting tax experience.
Experience preparing business tax returns.
CPA or EA license, or active progress toward certification.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Excellent communication, organization, and client service skills.
Desire to grow as a trusted tax advisor and collaborative team member.
Nice to Have:
Experience preparing individual, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation tax returns.
Previous tax planning or client advisory experience.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience using QuickBooks Online.
