Senior Civil Engineer - Land Development & Stormwater
BA Global Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer – Land Development & Stormwater to join a well-established consulting engineering firm in Hampton, New Jersey. The firm specializes in septic system design, inspection, and troubleshooting, as well as infrastructure and environmental engineering.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineer from anywhere in the United States who is interested in bringing their expertise to a specialized engineering firm. Relocation support is available for qualified candidates currently residing within the U.S.
The position requires a strong background in stormwater management and site plan design, with a minimum of eight years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will communicate confidently, work effectively as part of a team, remain open to constructive feedback, and have proven experience providing professional testimony before planning boards, zoning boards, and other land-use agencies.
Responsibilities
Lead land development projects with a focus on stormwater management and site plan design.
Provide professional testimony before planning boards, zoning boards, and other land-use agencies.
Ensure projects comply with applicable local land-use regulations.
Collaborate effectively with team members and engage constructively with professional feedback.
Qualifications
New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Candidates who do not currently hold a New Jersey PE license may also be considered if they:
Have passed the National Council of Engineering Examiners (NCEES) exam.
Hold an active PE license in another state. Candidates will be provided with the necessary time to obtain New Jersey licensure through reciprocity.
6-8 years of land development experience preferred, particularly in stormwater management and site plan design.
Experience working with local planning and zoning boards.
Strong public-speaking and communication skills, including the ability to provide professional testimony.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and accept constructive feedback.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Health insurance:
Eligibility begins after six months of employment.
Employees have the option to self-pay for health insurance.
After one year of employment, the employer will cover the full individual health insurance premium.
Family coverage may be paid through pre-tax payroll deductions, with the employer covering the applicable employer costs.
The estimated cost of individual health insurance ranges from $600 to $1,000 per month.
Dental insurance is also provided.
Retirement plan: 401(k) with a 4% employer match. Employees must contribute at least 5% to qualify for the match.
Holidays: Six to seven paid holidays per year.
Vacation policy:
No vacation time during the first year.
Two weeks of vacation after the first year.
Three weeks after five years.
Four weeks after 10 years.
Sick time: Provided in accordance with New Jersey regulations.
Position Details
Location: Hampton, New Jersey
Work arrangement: On-site, five days per week
Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Salary: up to $155,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications
