BA Global Talent is seeking a qualified professional to join as an On-Site Junior IT Support Technician in Jacksonville, Florida. You will play a crucial role in providing computer and user support, installing and configuring hardware and software, and optimizing technical workflows at the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). In this role, you will serve as the hands-on, go-to technical resource for local staff while ensuring seamless connectivity and hardware deployment across multiple regional sites.

Responsibilities:
Provide computer and user support including installation, configuration, upgrades, patches, and advanced technical support for IT resources (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices).
Monitor the service ticket queue, resolve assigned tickets, and thoroughly document work performed and technical resolutions.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot audio-visual and video conference equipment, and assist with meeting setups.
Perform basic network and telephony support, and provide on-site assistance for remote troubleshooting conducted by other OIT technical staff.
Travel to remote FDOT sites (25%-40%) to resolve IT-related issues, deploy resources, and support equipment needs.
Assist with annual inventory scanning and equipment surplus processes.
Read, follow, understand, and enforce the Department’s IT Procedures and Policies.
Participate actively in team projects, meetings, and cross-functional assignments.
Qualifications:
Must meet one of the following academic criteria:
High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 1 year of work experience in workstation hardware support.
High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 1 year of experience in customer service and technical support with Microsoft Office 365 and Windows 10+.
An Associate Degree with at least 25% of the coursework focused on Information Technology.
Technical Certifications (such as CompTIA A+ and Network+), which can be used to substitute for 6 months of the required work experience.
Required ability to travel 25% to 40% of the time between FDOT locations.
Strong initiative, organizational skills, and the ability to manage workload, analyze situations, and meet deadlines with minimal direction.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to assess user needs, resolve problems, and maintain effective working relationships.
Clear written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information to individuals or groups and thoroughly document technical solutions.
Sound decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities to generate and evaluate alternative actions.
Knowledge of the ideologies, techniques, and tools for quality assurance and control, with the ability to put them into practice.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb a ladder, squat, stoop, push, crawl, and bend in all types of weather conditions.
