Digital Communications Specialist (DFC) - Washington, DC
BA Global Talent is supporting the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) in the search for an on-site Digital Communications Specialist to support the Office of External Affairs (OEA) at DFC Headquarters in Washington, DC.
You will support all aspects of DFC’s digital communications strategy, working to raise the agency's profile and meet its obligations to the general public and the United States Congress. This role requires a blend of editorial excellence, technical savvy, and the ability to manage integrated campaigns across social media, web, and email platforms.
The DFC is financing solutions to the most critical challenges facing the developing world today. Working with businesses, we mobilize private capital to invest in projects that create jobs and opportunities in emerging markets, including building critical infrastructure, expanding access to telecommunications, and providing small business financing for women entrepreneurs.
Responsibilities:
Developing, writing, and submitting weekly drafts of engaging content; monitoring channels daily for comments and mentions.
Updating content within the CMS and submitting biweekly proposals for website improvements and accuracy.
Building and deploying campaigns, including monthly submission of plans (content, subscriber lists, and schedules).
Creating and submitting high-quality materials (photos/videos) as required by project deadlines.
Supporting the planning of integrated campaigns, including managing content calendars, asset coordination, and approvals.
Conducting monitoring to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging conversations relevant to the DFC.
Reporting on social media and email metrics to provide data-driven insights for future strategy.
Partnering with internal departments and vendors to translate communications objectives into platform-appropriate messaging.
Maintaining organized records, including campaign briefs, SOPs, and reporting dashboards.
Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must qualify for and maintain a Public Trust clearance (or higher) and pass a DFC background investigation.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in media relations, preferably in a communications or journalism role.
Exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills with experience drafting professional executive documentation.
Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) and email marketing tools.
Ability to perform effectively with limited supervision in a high-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to research trends and patterns to propose new methods for impactful digital strategies.
Time Zone: Eastern Time Zone.
Schedule: 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., Monday through Friday
On-site: DFC office in Washington, DC.
