Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain Shopify storefronts across multiple brands and regions (localization, promotions, catalog variations).

• Develop and extend Shopify themes using Liquid and modern frontend technologies with a focus on scalability, performance, and accessibility.

• Design and implement reusable components and shared systems across multi-brand storefronts.

• Lead and contribute to eCommerce architecture planning (themes, integrations, performance, environments).

• Drive technical discovery and translate business needs into scalable, maintainable solutions

• Identify and reduce technical debt with a clear and pragmatic roadmap.

• Define and enforce development standards (code structure, reviews, documentation, release practices).

• Own or co-own CI/CD pipelines, ensuring safe and repeatable deployments.

• Improve workflows across dev/test/prod environments for multiple storefronts.

• Implement reliability practices (automated checks, rollback strategies, monitoring).

• Support incident response for a high-traffic, revenue-generating platform.

• Implement and maintain automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end).

• Partner closely with product, UX, marketing, and IT teams.

• Support performance optimization and conversion-focused improvements.

• Mentor developers and elevate team engineering standards.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in eCommerce development, with strong hands-on experience in Shopify.

• Strong proficiency in Shopify theme development (Liquid, JSON templates, Shopify CLI, theme architecture).

• Solid JavaScript/TypeScript skills and modern frontend development practices.

• Experience with CI/CD and modern deployment workflows for web applications.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks and implementing testing strategies.

• Proven ability to improve and scale existing codebases through refactoring and best practices.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional environments.

• Experience working with multi-brand and/or multi-market Shopify environments (preferred).

• Experience with Shopify Functions, checkout extensibility, or Shopify app development (preferred).

• Experience integrating Shopify with ERP/OMS or third-party systems (preferred).

• Familiarity with performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, caching, profiling).

• Experience with conversion rate optimization and analytics tools (preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Candidates must be based in Latin America or the Caribbean.
