Bankruptcy Attorney (Tampa, FL)
BA Global Talent is seeking a professional to perform as a Bankruptcy Attorney in Tampa, FL, and join a dynamic and client-focused consumer bankruptcy law firm. This role is ideal for a Florida Bar–admitted attorney with at least 2–3 years of bankruptcy experience who is looking to work in a professional, collaborative, and stable environment.
You will play a key role in representing clients facing financial hardship, guiding them through the bankruptcy process with confidence and compassion. This position offers no travel, and all hearings conducted via Zoom, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality legal services.
Responsibilities:
Manage client consultations and provide strategic legal guidance in consumer bankruptcy matters (Chapter 7 and Chapter 13).
Represent clients in 341 meetings, confirmation hearings, and other bankruptcy proceedings (conducted via Zoom).
Draft, review, and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, motions, and related pleadings.
Conduct legal research and analyze complex bankruptcy issues.
Maintain consistent communication with clients, trustees, courts, and opposing counsel.
Ensure accuracy and organization of electronic case files and documentation.
Monitor case progress and proactively address issues to ensure optimal outcomes.
Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive client information.
Adhere to firm policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) required.
Licensure: Active Florida Bar admission required (in good standing).
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience practicing bankruptcy law.
Must be based in or able to commute to the Tampa Bay area.
Strong knowledge of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 procedures.
Excellent verbal and written English skills.
Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills for client-facing Zoom interactions.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple cases efficiently.
Compassionate and committed to helping clients navigate financial challenges.

Experience handling high-volume bankruptcy caseloads.

Retirement: Eligible for an employer-paid SEP retirement plan (25% of gross wages) starting on the 3rd year of employment.
Time Off: 2 weeks vacation plus 8 paid holidays.
