Legal Assistant (LATAM)
BA Global Talent is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to support a U.S.-based law firm that specializes in Social Security Disability cases. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for inbound and outbound phone communications with prospective and current clients. Your organization, communication skills, and professionalism will directly support the firm’s mission of helping individuals navigate the disability benefits process.

Responsibilities:
Handle high-volume phone communications as a core function of the role, including:
Speaking with prospective clients to conduct intake and gather essential case information
Following up with current clients regarding documentation, status updates, and next steps
Provide excellent customer service while communicating with individuals seeking Social Security Disability support
Manage and safeguard sensitive legal information with strict confidentiality
Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling, case record management, and data entry
Collaborate with attorneys and internal team members to ensure smooth case workflow and timely follow-up
Requirements:Access to a personal computer running Microsoft Windows (required for software compatibility)
Background in law, social work, legal assisting, paralegal studies, or related fields
(Experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, law student, legal intern, or similar is highly valued)
Experience using call management tools, phone systems, or CRM platforms is a plus
Strong communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Familiarity with legal processes or case management systems is a plus
A law degree or paralegal certificate is considered a plus
Must reside in Latin America or the Caribbean
Time Zone: Eastern Time
Schedule: Full Time
