BA Global Talent is looking for a qualified professional to join in as a Ruby on Rails Software Developer (LATAM). In this role, you will be part of the team delivering software tools supporting accessibility services. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software products, as well as working with our support department to troubleshoot customer-initiated issues.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable and reliable software components
• Prototype, design, and launch new features
• Maintain high quality, responsiveness, and security of applications
• Apply new technologies and innovations to improve platform functionality
• Perform analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting of complex applications
• Contribute to the team’s best practices and development standards
  
  

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or related
• At least 3 years of work experience in software development
• 2-3 experience with Ruby on Rails web development
• Knowledge of JavaScript Vue framework
• Experience with SQL and databases
• Skilled in jQuery library
• Knowledge of Heroku platform, single sign-on solutions, and accessibility practices is a bonus
• Understanding of software security and secure software development
• Punctual and resourceful
• Hands-on attitude and willingness to get things done
• Willing to share their knowledge with team members
• Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration skills
• Writing – Ability to write reports, technical documents, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present complex technical designs in a clear and simple way.
• Very good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Nice to have:

• Experience in accessibility-focused development is a strong plus
• Familiarity with inclusive technologies or digital accessibility standards is valued
• A background in supporting equitable access to digital, document, or printed content is beneficial
• Passion for improving access for people with disabilities is highly regarded
